Franchise License
Franchise License Cost - $35,500
Singer Sewing Machine Co. was the first company in the world to employ franchising as a means of taking their products to market. Their program was simple—“Do it our way." They granted their franchisees a license to “Do it their way," which they described as “The System."
Today, there are thousands of franchise organizations that sell franchises, but the verbiage within the sales documents describe the transactions as “Granting Licenses," which maintains the franchisors as being responsible for and in control of the systems. This puts the burden of the systems squarely on the shoulders of the franchisors to have the controls and strategy in place to launch and maintain the franchise programs.
As it pertains to The Screenmobile, the founders envisioned hundreds of well trained independent operators following their proven business plan; all trained the same; all uniform in appearance, aptitude and attitude with their main desire to be a member of a proven business system. The Screenmobile franchise license consists of the operation of a retail business installing exterior and interior window, door and patio coverings, using the Screenmobile licensed system. Most Screenmobile licensees operate their business from their home, especially during the start-up phase (which we recommend) but some licensees do operate from industrial and commercial retail outlets.
The license fee is $35,500. This covers your "Granted License" portion of the Screenmobile system. This license grants use of a designed territory, whose customer base size is based on many important factors, but the most important is the number of households within a territory. The territory size will be approximately 100,000 households.
